the problem
Legal visa and immigration processes are
a maze
You're never quite sure if the documents you have match what they're asking for, where legal fees pile up for questions that should have straightforward answers, and where the sheer volume of foreign bureaucratic language makes you second-guess every step.
We wanted to build something that brings clarity to that chaos, a tool that doesn't just list requirements but actually walks people through the entire process with the kind of transparency and confidence that's missing from government websites and expensive legal consultations.
the build
0 to 1, in 36 hours, working in true startup mode
Our tech stack, we used Firecrawl to scrape official government sources in real time, Lovable handled the ui and the frontend development, OpenAI's API powered the intelligence layer, and aci.dev orchestrated the backend workflows, managing the complexity of document processing.
Features we shipped
Direct source scraping, providing links to official government pages for verification
Document translation for files users didn't know existed in their native language
Email the entire steps and plan to yourself or others
Document status tracking across different stages of the application process
Contextual AI assistance to highlight any text or document section and ask ChatGPT follow-up questions
Calendar reminders for critical deadlines
Confidence cues showing stories from people who've successfully completed the same process
Features we wanted to build
Folder system showing exactly what documents you have versus what's missing
Mock immigration officer simulation to prep for interview questions
Honest guidance on where immigration officers have flexibility versus strict requirements
AI voice agent for conversational interactions instead of form-filling
